| ABOUT AHRC | |||||
The African Human Rights Consortium is a monitoring and capacity-building organization that aims to enhance the effectiveness, credibility, and impact of human rights investigations and advocacy initiatives in Africa by helping members of civil society from across the continent develop the knowledge, skills, leadership, and alliances necessary to effect positive change in this challenging field. Endowed with unique access to interlocutors and solid credibility with leaders in the region, this alliance – through its multilateral structure – can provide significant benefits not only to its members who seek transnational impact but also to those who need to upgrade their domestic performance. The AHRC can help improve performance standards in management, research, advocacy and networking, fundamentally changing the way in which capacity-building is delivered and executing a methodical and coherent framework that blends training, research, advocacy, and networking. The AHRC provides partner organizations with the skills needed to prepare human rights activists to be successful in a dynamic, fast-paced, knowledge-driven landscape that focus on quality research, high-impact advocacy, efficient collaboration, and concrete results. |
